MORE THAN JUST A MARKET
Qout Market came together in 2013 out of the need for a platform to bring together local farmers, craftsmen, and food enthusiasts with the local community to discover, mingle, and plan to run into their neighbor.
It was meant to form a microcosm of all the wonderful people and things that made Kuwait, Kuwait.
Vendors are carefully chosen for their product and passion, but most importantly their character and commitment to this sense of community. Our vendors come from 21 different countries (and counting) bringing wonderful diversity to this carefully cultivated community.
The market normally takes place on Saturdays that fall within the peak growing season of November to April in an urban location.
In our second season, we introduced two other initiatives aimed at empowering the local community. Read more about them here. In season three, the market was held in two locations, the second of which is the iconic historical Kuwaiti landmark called Pearl Marzouq Complex, just a stone's throw from the Scientific Center.
In season four we have the privilege of taking over the Circle of Peace at Kuwait's newest national landmark, Al Shaheed Park located at the center of Kuwait City.
Our market combines local farm produce, artisanal food products, and crafts with a street food section aimed at highlighting the culinary diversity of our local food community. Children have a dedicated section for enriching activities. Then of course, there's the live music!
